New project: Gnoppix

I'm starting a project which aims to build a complete, full-featured GNOME 2.2 desktop based on Knoppix.

Naturally, I will call it "Gnoppix", and already requested the hosting to SourceForge.

I'm accepting suggestions on what Gnome/GTK applications to include, please post them in the comments.

I will post an URL as soon as SF approve/reject my request.

definitely xine / totem. try to include binary nvidia drivers if legal.

also:

gtoaster

the new fonts

diagnostic utilities (I use knoppix for machines that aren't booting correctly).

I would make it all gnome, and no kde at all, since both take up a lot more space.

oh, and you do realize the knoppix man is named Knopp? That means the naming goes like this:

Knopp + unix => knoppix

k -> g => gnoppix.

it's sort of funny, since the k _doesn't_ mean kde.
