Okay, there is no GNOME 2 port because GNOME 2 is not done and I don't feel that everybody should be forced to use a GNOME 2 port unless they have GNOME 2.Secondly, the read time has been increased recently due to some code fixing. I appoligize for the old method.You are correct that GFileRunner doesn't do desktop icons, but that is also almost done. If you get really bored the old desktop code is commented out in gfilerunner.c.And I refuse to join the Nautilus development team for personal reasons.Some times you need to just give up and start over to get it right....hopefully my program will be able to do just that.
