Re: GNOME Weekly News 20th to 26th October

i don't understand

nautilus has been built from the start to utilize things like librsvg, gnome-vfs, etc.

why would scratching the entire thing, and rewriting it again help? very rarely is the solution to just dump an entire project and start over again.

i'm using nautilus 2.0.6 here on a 400mhz machine, and it's fast. i have a pretty slow machine, so others would probably find much better performance. i think the biggest problem is that people see nautilus 1, and associate the nautilus name with an old version.
