Been a while, but the bug team needs to get organized and happy again :)
So...

Everyone who is interested should sign up for the bug-squad list[1]-
we're trying to get more organized and distribute important work to more
people.[2] It's very low traffic, so if you're curious, don't be bashful
about lurking :)

*Bug Day! It's been too long. Thursday, 9AMEST-9PMEST[3], just like the
good old days. We're going to try to be more organized than we have been
in the past- going forward, we want GNOME programs to have their own QA
teams, and hopefully we can start down that road on Thursday. So... come
on by, say hello, and read a few bugs.

Anyway, hope to see many new faces and some old ones there-
Luis

Re: GNOME 2 & 2.1 bug day this Thursday!

Okay, I will respond. I didn't make the post, but i agree with all posts here to some extent. You have made 2 posts that I see now. Neither have said that anything is getting done. Perhaps a hint a planning a new site, but nothing more. Report bugs in the current site to bugzilla? Why? The current site and nearly all of it's content should be scrapped, as you said. No real point in loading up bugzilla with bug reports for a broken site. What you should do is start another path in bugzilla or something even easier (a simple mailer form on gnome.org) for feature requests for the new site. And ya'll need to be MUCH more flexible/open to having new contributors. I can recall several people who have openly offered to help and have all been put off by the attitudes of the current group. That is bullshit and should not be tolerated. Hell, even if a couple of those several contributed, it would be substantial. You have no ground to stand on when calling anyone ungrateful. Back up on that, lose the attitude and invite him to help.
