AbiWord Weekly News #103

AbiWord
AbiWord

This has been a week full of surprises, and not like the nice kind, where a bank error is sided in your favour. This has been more along the lines of the revenue service wonders why your forms are in crayon, whether "Sparky" is really your six year old son or if your mistress can really count as a dependent. Luckily for us, we have Arthur Anderson and Aberdeen! Abisource went into infinite fcsk mode, and on the second day, asked, "Hey, man, this is wrong for some reason, and where do all these packets keep coming from?" It rebooted and life got better. Take heart, it didn't stop the hackers from hacking or the users from abusing. It did delay AWN for a few days.

Update:AWN for this week is also out, get it here.

bad taste

I don't want to use software that has a 'patch for "nuking Irac."'

We have this worshipping of their own dwarf-ness among the self-proclaimed "geeks".

You tell me that everything is a struggle for power anyway, and that it would be simply pointless self-deprecation and desire for death for you to not say "yea" to this walk of the world anyway. And that I can just not use abiword then, or change the source myself, and stop "complaining", but then you also feel you have to add, to shut out the thought of me as a noble helper rather than a complainer: "It's all a matter of taste anyway!".

I quote Nietzsche himself then, and he says:

"And you tell me, friends, that there is to be no dispute about taste and tasting? But all life is a dispute about taste and tasting!"

I dispute your taste, if nothing else.
