First release of Gimmie available

Alex Graveley has announced the first release of Gimmee.
The network access is too poor and the distractions too much fun here at GUADEC to write a proper release note just yet, but I wanted to let everyone know that the first Gimmie tarball is up.

In that prototype, there are only 2 minor things I dislike:

  • The "Windows not menus" approach looks "too heavy" and is... well... ugly :) I don't know what should be done about it though because having a window has its advantages too (more information displayed and so on).
  • The panel colors are ugly ;-)

Except from that, I'm impatient to see it appear in distribs. It's been a long time I've been so thrilled with something new...
