Another snapshot of the GNU Image Manipulation Program development release has been prepared for those of you that are afraid of using CVS but would still like to have a look at the current development towards GIMP 2.4. If you want to try this version, please read the release notes for the development snapshots

The source can be downloaded from ftp://ftp.gimp.org/pub/gimp/v2.3/, a list of changes is available at the developer website.

Thanks to all the people who have helped to make this release happen.

This is GREAT! I didn't know this. Thanks. However, it only seems to be the crop tool that I can tell. Which other dialogs are affected by shift?

Yes, it does remember it's position once per session, but I usually have a few windows open which I need to crop and the window just happens to get in the way. I just wish it would remember the position even after restarting gimp...
