I disagree about hiding certain directories

It was maddening trying to use wine on Ubuntu since i was looking for all things "wine" to try to find my fake windows directory not realizing that .wine was a hidden folder. Had .wine not been hidden it would have been a piece of cake.

Perhaps a lower contrast icon for the directory or better yet a "caution" sign icon..but how to internationalize that??
