Unsupported Jabber features

If you haven't use another Jabber client, like Psi, you might not know what features it's missing. Some things off the top of my head:

  • Gateway transport support - The GAIM devs consider it unnecessary since GAIM natively supports multiple networks, but this makes it harder to firewall (such as a restrictive business network). Support for other networks is probably much better in GAIM than the various Jabber gateways, but it's still a disappointing lack.
  • Conferencing (group chat)
  • Jabber User Directory registration, lookup
  • Service discovery/browsing
  • Admin features
