Not, everybody works in the same way, as you do.

But for crying out loud, menu editing existed once in Gnome. Bloody KDE has it, F*&(^(ing Windows has it. Some Distros implement it also, Mandrake for example, the last I used it anyway.

As for the implication that only beginners care about labels, that reeks of elitism to me.

This topic comes up each and everytime a new release of Gnome is around the corner. So please take notice and refrain from sugessting that people who are fed up with editing .desktop files as beginners.
