Some of those fixes sound pretty helpful.

I should really clarify my comments above (especially now with this new knowledge): I still think Metacity sucks. The authors are truly visionaries, but they're so focused on a perfect world, that they almost never provided patches for the real world.

I'm not saying they should abandon their goals; Metacity could someday be a fantastic piece of software. However, in the mean time, would it kill them to add a few GConf preferences for those of us that would like to use Metacity before the next Ice Age?

Before anyone tells me I should just write or use patches, I AM using a patch that disables click to raise for the body of a window so I can use DnD, but DnD is so useful, I think an option for such a feature would be a nice tie-over until everyone that writes applications agrees to use Gtk and certain window classes so that Metacity needs to such preference.

Here's hoping that focus stealing problem is gone for good!
