Tables now have the ability to summarise rows & columns. The AbiMath handler has just been branched to be incorporated with 2.3/2.4. And, naturally, we have GUADEC information....

I had a large project management table in open office sxw format - but OpenOffice kept starting in German instead of my native English and then it kept hanging so I thought what the heck - right clicked on the file - clicked to open it with AbiWord - then BAM ! Up popped the table - even scaled to fit the portrait page size - I edited it and printed it perfectly. What a great job you are doing.

Well, nol all was quite perfect (as of vers 2.07 - debian unstable) - the page should have been landscape by default and each time I went to change the page margins - the spin boxes defaulted to 1.0. And I could not highlight text in a cell to cut and paste to another cell. But overall, I was able to insert and delete rows and change fonts, etc - very full featured - very impressive.

Abiword reminds me of Toyota - no boasting, no fireworks, just constant improvement and then one day everyone wakes up and discovers they make the best product in the world.
