Re: gTweakUI 0.0.6 released

I for one am very glad that someone is paying attention to (and even being fairly militant about) interface guidelines. I am so damn tired of the angry-fruit-salad effect when there's fifty thousand different ways to make an interface and everybody wants to make their interface look l33t and cool (i.e., dazzling eyecandy that makes one ill after 5 minutes.) I think if people even read the 18-year-old Mac HIG it would help as far as WHY things are done the way they are, and even just the fact that the smooth, easily usable Mac interface didn't come out of thin air; Apple hammered pretty hard on developers to stay with the HI guidelines, and they got a lot of the same whining that I see now with Gnome 2.6. But their platform is one of the world's best in usability, because of that strong consistency.
