Gnome, Mozilla and the Challenge of Longhorn

With lots of talk recently about mono/java/python, it seems like a response to Longhorn and XAML is brewing. People at mozilla are talking about how to create an alliance against the hegemon. Co-operation with gnome is discussed on mozillazine. I do hope that gnome can use the XUL language or something like it so that gui programming is easy for us mere mortals. Lets not re-invent the wheel reproducing XAML when we've already got XUL!

Different people. Different Ideas.

We need a unifying place to gather ideas from different people and assigning them to developers. Once I was reading about the sidebar ideas (something called `scoop`) ... and don't know who is working on that right know. Might be some developer would has interest on that, but he is mission that information altogether.

So, what is important is to create a online portel exclusively for users proposing some innovation ideas which we can implement in GNOME.

.. then what happened to the sidebar idea?
