GNOME CPUFreq Applet is a CPU Frequency Scaling Monitor for GNOME Panel.
This is the first release,

Works only if you have /proc/cpufreq (which you must enable in the kernel-config). I didn't enable it, because it's marked as obsolete. The applet maybe could read /proc/cpuinfo instead, if /proc/cpufreq is not available?
