OpenOffice 2.0 Concept Overview and GNOME

This makes very interesting reading:
http://tools.openoffice.org/releases/q-concept.html. The document basically outlines the plan for OpenOffice.org 2.0. A significant portion of the document deals with GNOME integration. From a quick read, it seems that there is some overlap with what the Ximian guys are currently doing.

I hope OOo 2.x will be the definately step for Linux Desktop. Rigth now is a bit unusable (long startup times, heavy opening documents, not 100% compliant with Microsoft documents and the look&feel is a bit old (icons for example)).

OpenOffice2, Evolution2, Mozilla ... :-)
