Arkpandora TTF - The MS Webfonts Replacement

Usability
Usability

Many people are still getting (by whatever means) the core MS fonts for their Linux Desktop. This project is meant to be as a replacement for some of these main fonts. They have been designed to match similarly with the fonts they replace. The fonts are derived from the Bitstream Vera fonts and are available under the same terms as Vera.

This pack is the Arkpandora font set.

They can be found at:

Re: Better Vera packages have been available long ago

Yes they are different. For example, you take any document that has come across from the win32 platform and you open it up in openoffice. Then you change the font to Vera and youll find you have almost double your text size.

Do the same but change the font to Aerial for example and you'll see the doc has almost the same text size.

I suppose you could have compared Vera to Aerial yourself but didn't bother. :)
