If I ever closed my app by mistake, I've done so via window manager...

I like the idea with the Mac-style Application Menu with Quit and About.

IMHO Apps/Settings, Profiles, Themes, Toolbar & keyboard shortcuts customization etc also belong here. Not sure about Help -- think it should stay where it is.

Some applications don't open/save any documents, why should they have a File menu, just to list a Quit option?
