Removing Quit Option

What do you all think? I propose to remove "close" and "quit" from GNOME apps. We do not need these two redundant functions as the window manager has a close widget and key sequence, and quit is too dangerous (if i'm editing a bunch of documents/web pages, it's better to close each individually, since quit is usually accidental (people think, oh, i'm just quitting this document)). Having close and quit in apps adds redundant keystrokes and redundant keystroke mappings (that are often different between some apps). If anything, close should close the file (not the entire window) (GEdit behaves this way), because "close" is in the file menu. Also, Quit is un-user friendly, as it closes all their open docuements (like web browsing). Please take this suggestion into consideration.
