Ximian has announced their acquisition by Novell. More details are available in the joint press release.

Well, it really turned out quite well. They supported a lot of the heavy lifting in the development of Mozilla for several years, and when it was time to part ways with the project, they sent it off in what seems like pretty amicable terms and a good nest egg to continue on its own.
