AbiWord Weekly News #150

AbiWord
AbiWord

The remainders of GUADEC, the death of the hash downloader, a new preferences mock-up, 2.0 beta, anti-abi advertising, Mac OS X and that has nothing to do with the more interesting stories, like Linux going to Congo schools and Microsoft using DRM to lockout other office competitors, all of this and screenshots are waiting within.

Ironically

I clearly remember that you said something like the GNOME becoming nothing more than the panel; in fact, I had originally expected it in Re: AbiWord Weekly News #119, but I failed in finding it, which makes me think it goes back to the chat where all that discussion began--you remember:

"This is not a shock for me, as Dom declared the GNOME platform dead half a year ago, and explained in nice clear Engrish (you think a guy from Philly talks real English?) that he has no intentions of ever developing for that dead GNOME platform, which is dead, especially since Dom says it's dead. Let me know if I dally on any points about Dom declaring GNOME dead...Dom's dead gnome died when it found out it was dead."

You and Seth are great fun. You know, Jesper was still editor when you two had that conversation. Good times...good times.

FRANCE!
