AbiWord Weekly News #150

AbiWord
AbiWord

The remainders of GUADEC, the death of the hash downloader, a new preferences mock-up, 2.0 beta, anti-abi advertising, Mac OS X and that has nothing to do with the more interesting stories, like Linux going to Congo schools and Microsoft using DRM to lockout other office competitors, all of this and screenshots are waiting within.

Re: AbiWord Weekly News #150

I am very conflicted whether I should actually click multiple times on that advertisement or not...

In other news: dot.kde.org has an article complaining why they were left out...

;)

The clipboard stuff are really cool!!

Regarding the gnome dependency what would be gained by forcing the gnome dependency? If there is actual stuff that would really be helpful then yeah, if not then why?

And now for a sentence with some intellegence, if the only thing that is gained is gconf, couldnt you just force the dependency of gconf and not the rest of gnome? (or is this not a possability?)

Its great to see that criawips is using abiword technology, maybe it should be renamed to the AbiPresent (or whatever te original name for the abisource presentation program was)

Oh, and when can we expect a plugin that supports Footnotes? ;)

Almost forgot, with abiword becoming so fast, any chance of getting it to load up faster then gedit? ;)

Sorry, but im very tired :P
