Bonobo work is progressing so rapidly, that I swear I just saw it inside of Nautilus the other day...actually, I did. SuSE in, SuSE out, SuSE's back on again if you're looking for packages for that dangerous distribution, thanks to James Ogley. More HIGrrrification^(TM) under development with three screenshots hidden in their own section of the developers' list. GNOME-enable'ers, fear not, it's not you, it's that french guy...Hub declares a great owing of donuts.

Your use, not others

Ironically, however, when I use Galeon, it takes up most of the height of the screen, and Nautilus only half that. Is that because viewing a document needs more room? Yes! If a file manager allows you to view a document, will you have it in a larger size? Probably! If you don't want to view a document in it, guess what! The default activation (double-click), something most people from Windows-land tend to use, opens the document in the related utility, i.e. the gnome default for the file type! Just like in Windows! OMG! There's complaining about nothing going on! Holy Bob!

I don't think you noticed, but the thing about GNOME, and especially the Bonobo project, is that you can use an application the way YOU want it to work, with much of the default acting like most other graphical interfaces. Isn't that a kick in the pants!? When I hear a Mac user complain about how different (technically, API-wise, not-different that much at all!) similar functionality in their OS makes it impossible for them to use Nautilus, I just might take that to heart.

The fact is, if you hadn't seen the Bonobo component of AbiWord, you probably would NEVER have known, even using it! You would have just gone about using it the way you thought it would work, and huzzah!, it would work that way!

This is:

A) Not Bloat

B) Useful

C) Functional

D) Not just Nautilus

E) Dare I say, User Friendly!?

"Oh no! You haven't done any user testing!"

WAKE THE F* UP! WHAT DO YOU THINK THE DEVELOPERS' BUILDS ARE FOR!

GNOME's going to be nothing more than fun set of integrated highly-modular components that work together to complete any task, no matter how "vierd" it might be. I don't know why you'd want a movie in the middle of a spreadsheet, but Bob Dammit, you'll have it!

Now download the gorram binary and test it before I have declare you terminally whiney, gerbil!
