There has been lots of speculation on what Ximian has been doing with Open Office in prepartion for the GNOME 2 based version of Ximian Desktop. Well Michael Meeks made the slides from his presentation at the Open Office conference in Germany available, which details some of the changes done by Ximian.
You find the slides here.

Re: Ximian and Open Office

According to that page, the non-commercial Windows version is not GPLed and Trolltech says you can't link it to GPLed software.

Also, they state you can't use it if you're being compensated for writing the software, even if you're being paid to just produce free software.

In addition, the application produced "cannot be sold, leased, rented or otherwise distributed for recompense." eg. like the commercial Linux distributions do.

It looks like a pretty useless licence.
